Position Description: Scheels is currently seeking a PT\u00a0Loss Prevention associate for our Minot, ND\u00a0location. This individual will provide a safe working and shopping environment. This position will represent Scheels as a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable professional to all customers and fellow associates.\u00a0 Responsibilities Include: Create and maintain a safe working and shopping environment for customers and Scheels associates by completing daily\/weekly\/monthly safety and hazard walk-throughs to ensure expectations are met Reduce and deter loss through presence on floor, monitoring surveillance system Able to identify and apprehend subjects while meeting required criteria Attend required training meetings Execute project work plans to complete the task on time, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor as needed Requirements: Leadership and management experience along with strong knowledge of Scheels' policies Excellent customer service\u00a0skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem solving skills\u00a0 Ability to perform basic mathematical equations; perform operations using units of currency, measurements and understanding percentages Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and\u00a0treat others with respect and consideration\u00a0while following Scheels' policies and procedures With or without accommodations, be able to sit, and\/or stand for extended periods of time Able to lift or move up to 25 lbs.\u00a0 Education and Experience: Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED); one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Schedule: Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 11a.m. to 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Average 20-27\u00a0hours a week. Three acres of potatoes were the seed for the first SCHEELS store in 1902. Frederick A. Scheel, a German immigrant, used the $300 he earned from that first harvest of potatoes as the down payment on the first SCHEELS, a small hardware and general merchandise store in Sabin, Minnesota. Over the years, SCHEELS opened in surrounding communities, including Fargo, North Dakota, where the Corporate Office is now located.
