OverviewMonitors for and investigates suspicious activity.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of agePossess a High School Diploma or GEDCertification in First Aid, CPR and AED\u00a0requiredPossess a valid state\/provincial Driver's LicensePossess a valid California Guard CardAbility to undergo training and pass examinations as needed.Ability to demonstrate positive public relations skills.Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.ResponsibilitiesProvides high visibility patrols of buildings and grounds of the park to provide reasonable protections of the park's property, assets, guests and associates.Monitors, enforces and correctly reports violations of park rules and applicable state laws. Assesses, resolves and contains situations and takes appropriate action based upon policies and training.Gives verbal directions and assists guests and associates, including lost and\/or separated guests.Communicates using a two-way radio and telephone; calls for assistance and responds to emergency situations.Moves items or objects and moves or drags persons in an emergency.Monitors and prevents unauthorized entry into park or restricted areas.Observes and checks departing personnel and vehicles to guard against property loss.Performs walk-throughs and hand held metal detection functions to help prevent weapons or prohibited items from entering the park.Writes legible, timely, concise and accurate statements or reports for incidents and investigations; assists with investigations as assigned. Testifies in court or at a hearing as required.Participates in the department bike patrol program in accordance with park and department policies. Operates a Company vehicle in accordance with park and department policies.Monitors park revenue generating locations for the detection of guests committing violations.Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair Standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park\/division specific policies and procedures.Assist with shoplift and trespass incidents.Address employee and guests issues relating to Security and Asset Protection.Complete witness note taking functions during the investigative interviews.Complete Security and Asset Protection reports ina timely manner.Use a CCTV security system.Conduct security operational audits.Assist in behavioral assessment observations.Support uniformed duties as required.Other duties may be assigned.
